An unusual Swiss anchor chronometer watch with a particularly large balance wheel, circa 1888.
Polished 18K gold plain case with engraved monogram and signed dome. Especially beautiful enamel signed dial with Breguet-style radial hours, outer minutes track with red Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the red seconds, and blued steel hands. Signed early anchor chronometer movement with especially large balance wheel, very long regulator hand, wolf’s toothing, and moustache lever. Matching case and movement number 78117.
