Gold watch with four automata

A very rare and large Swiss, 18 carat gold quarter repeating pocket watch with four automatons, circa 1810. Royal blue translucent enamel over guilloché engine turning back and pearls set bezels. White enamel dial with in the centre; Punchinello appears on a balcony supported by two columns to strike the hours on the scythe of Father Time, as soon as he has disappeared, two cherubs below strike the quarters. Arabic numerals, outer minute and blued steel hands. A gilded brass movement, with fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (gilded brass) and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock.
