A Swiss pink gold open faced quarter repeater musical watch, circa 1780, brass two train cylinder movement with ‘au passage’ and ‘a la demande’ musical mechanism on 26 tines, quarter repeating with two hammers on two gongs, mono-metallic balance, gilt cuvette.
Gilt guilloché dial, outer engraved with foliate motif, white enamel roundels with Breguet numerals, outer minute track on enamel, pink gold case, coin-edge band, music activated with a slide at 6, cuvette and dial signed Ch. Moricand.
