Gold lever made for the Islamic market

A magnificent and extremely rare Swiss, diamond-set (approximately 200 rose-cut diamonds) 18K gold and enamel, hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1870. Black Enamel and Diamonds, Attributed to Louis Audemars, made for the Islamic market. The case has a scalloped edge, front, back, pendant, and bow profusely decorated with diamonds, front cover with twelve openings for numerals centred with a diamond-set crown.

The back is centred with a large rose-cut diamond, winding crown in the shape of a crown, band chased with foliage, covers, bow and crown with black enamel decoration, gold hinged cuvette. Black enamel dial with inlaid gold Islamic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Spade hands. A nickel movement, Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, gold wheel train, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring. Property of an Israelian Gentleman.
