A Swiss silver Art Nouveau keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. The bezel and band are decorated with a continuous leaf design, the back cover is decorated in relief with a Japanese lady in front of a large fan and foliage, and a border to match the bezel. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and gold dots, outer minute divisions and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and fancy gilt hands. A matte gilt movement, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Movement signed by L’Alouette.
