A very fine and rare French, platinum and rock crystal skeletonized keyless dress watch, circa 1920. The movement by European Watch and Clock Co., Inc.
Rock crystal case with faceted border on the back, platinum band and triangular bow, cabochon sapphire-set winding crown. Skeletonised platinum dial, radial Roman numerals, skeletonized centre with a matte silvered minute ring on the border and blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case signed Cartier and punched EJ, movement signed European Watch.
