A fine verge pocket watch with a concealed painted on enamel erotic scene, circa 1810. Silver case, smooth. The dial is gold, chased decor, three putti with flaming heart, lance and shield and quiver and arrows. Peripheral hour dial with Arabic numerals, arrow hands. Pusher for the concealed erotic scene, opaque polychrome enamelling with a picture of the cuckolded husband. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, chain/fusee, polished screws, solid movement pillars, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, engraved and florally pierced balance bridge, large silver regulator disc, garnet endstone on balance.
