Gold hunting cased pocket watch
–
An impressive and elegant Swiss hunting case pocket watch with chronograph and 30 minute counter, circa 1916.
Sold on December 18th, 1919, with Patek Philippe extract from the archives.
This beautiful pocket watch is in remarkable condition; the chronograph is operated by pressing the crown itself and not with a separate pusher through the crown. The technical details and the incredibly elegant design of this movement explain the lasting fascination with the Patek Philippe brand through the decades.
An 18-carat gold case, smooth case design, white enamel dial with blue hands, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, sunk 30 minute counter. It has a bridge movement and a large gold screw compensation balance.
