An exquisite Swiss 18 carat yellow gold minute repeating keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. The case has floral, foliate and geometric chased decoration. Hinged gold cuvette with engine turned border over a glazed gold rimmed cover. Silver and gold dial with painted radial Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and outer minute track. The outer border and centre are fully engraved and applied with cast gold floral decoration. Blued steel spade hands, nickel plated movement, Geneva striping decoration and 29 jewels. Counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Cuvette signed.
