A Swiss lever in a gold half hunter case, hallmarked Birmingham circa 1929. Gilt split three-quarter plate 17 jewels keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, and blue steel half hunter hands. Plain 9 carat Dennison half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. Maker’s mark ‘ALD’ in a rectangle. In a gold tooled presentation case lined with brown velvet.
