Gold open faced lever watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co. in Geneva, manufactured in 1929 and sold on June 13, 1935. This watch features a superb hand wound mechanical movement with a high grade lever escapement (anker escapement) and bears the double hallmark of Geneva. The magnificent two tone silver sector dial shows gold relief Arabic numeral hour markers (3, 6, 9, 12) alternating with enamelled baton indices. It has an outer sector railroad minute track with black Arabic five minute numerals (5–60), a prominent central sweep seconds hand, and blued steel leaf shaped hands. The 18 carat yellow gold case has a polished circular profile with a stepped bezel and a classic oval bow ring beside the winding crown at 12 o’clock. The timepiece comes with its original fitted Patek Philippe & Cie period presentation box and an official extract from the archives.
