This single button pocket chronograph is striking in its elegant beauty and is well-preserved. The watch most outstanding features are its minute repeater and the rare pulsation scale on the dial, as documented in the enclosed extract from the archives. Charles and Kimball Stockton were renowned physicians in Buffalo, New York, in the early 20th century; both father and son were the authors of numerous medical reference books. Kimball Stockton was born in 1902. He was Professor of Medicine for 13 years and Dean for 12 years at the University of Buffalo Medical School, until his death in 1958. To this day, the Stockton Kimball Award is bestowed on faculty members who have achieved worldwide recognition as researchers and have been recognized as well for significant academic accomplishment and service to the university.
