Silver square minute repeater

A large Swiss silver minute repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Gilt split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel, plain bridge cock with polished steel regulator and sector index, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring, club foot lever escapement, push minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. Circular silver cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blue steel hands. Substantial square engine turned case, vacant shield shaped cartouche on the back, gilt push at the side for the minute repeat, glazed circular aperture for the dial, the back hinging to form an easel stand to enable the watch to be used as a desk clock.
