Gold open faced quarter repeater

A fine Swiss enamelled 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pair-cased verge watch, circa 1780. Gilt full plate verge fusee movement with scroll pierced cock set with diamond endstone, repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant, signed gilt dust cap.
Signed white enamel dial with Roman chapters and Arabic minute numerals, scroll hands set with paste. The band of the inner case pierced and engraved with vines, the outer case with enamelled bezel set with brilliants and the back with a portrait of a lady within a border of brilliants and enamel surround.
