A very fine and rare Swiss silver keyless pocket watch with high-relief decoration, circa 1910. A shooting prize Omega watch retailed by Emilio Somazzi, Lugano. Specially made for the Gara di Tiro fra le Guardie Federali di Confine, IV Circondario or Federal Shooting Exhibition. The back cover is cast with the figure of a rifleman dressed in uniform and surrounded by the inscription, cloverleaf border, bezel and band decorated to match. Hinged silver cuvette engraved with the Omega prize medals. White enamel dial with painted dauphine numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. A gilt brass movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, eccentric cam micrometre regulator. Dial, movement and cuvette signed.
