Gold hunting cased pocket watch by Gustave Sandoz

A fine, heavy Swiss minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph and original mahogany box, circa 1880.
18 carat gold, engine turned, monogrammed, à goutte case with case maker’s punch mark “MF” (Meylan Frères), pusher for chronograph at “12”, slide for repeating mechanism and gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, centre chronograph hand and blued “Fleur de Lys” hands. 1/2 plate movement, rhodium-plated, with “fausses côtes” decoration, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, finely matted chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, counterpoised lever, wolfteeth winding wheels and gold screw compensation balance.
