A rare Swiss pearl-set crucifix pendant watch with a very fine miniature enamel medallion, circa 1870.
Gold case with cross shaped black enamel and pearl-set fillets; the dial concealed under a hinged painted polychrome enamel panel of Jesus with the Crown of Thorns surrounded by set pearls. Enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and blued spade hands. Cross form movement, frosted, gilt, with ring balance.
