A rare, small Viennese gold enamel cello shape fob watch with verge escapement, circa 1810.
Gold enamel, engine-turned and translucent red enamelled case, with engraved and enamelled sheets of music and foliate tendril -decorated on the back side- and case maker punch mark JW. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued hands. The full plate movement is frosted, gilt and signed with chain/fusee, keywind, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, and pierced and engraved balance bridge.
