An extremely rare Art Nouveau pocket watch made by Longines in Switzerland, circa 1910. It has a very rare open faced relief case made of silver showing a beetle surrounded by foliage on the back, a signed cuvette engraved with Grand Prix medals and the words Grand Prix Paris 1900, an exceptionally fine white enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a Longines signature in blue and steel spade & whip hands under a red dome with colourless openings for the hours. A Longines lever movement.
