–
This exceptional and very rare timepiece by Louis Audemars is not only outstanding due to the perfect quality of its train and its repeating mechanism, it has also been fitted with an elaborate rattrapante mechanism (without return to zero) beneath the dial and Audemars’ quarter second jump complication. The small depression in the middle of the gold repeater slider was another one of Louis Audemars distinguishing features.
–
Seconde foudroyant is a hand that completes one full revolution per second.
A rattrapante chronograph has two chronograph seconds hands which can be stopped independently.
