Gentleman’s pocket watch with an unusual movement construction

A large and rare Swiss gentleman’s quarter repeating and music playing pocket watch with an unusual movement construction of selected quality, circa 1830.
This timepiece is in excellent condition, with an engine-turned pattern of outstanding quality. The unusual musical movement with a going barrel with pins works a set of blued steel tongues. The pointed tune is loud and clear.
This watch has an 18-carat rose gold engine-turned case with a button in the reeded band to activate the musical mechanism. A two-tone gilt engine-turned dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minutes track, and Breguet hands. And a keywind bridge movement with two hammers / two gongs and a three-arm ring balance.
