A gentleman’s exquisite, large and heavy quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement and two automatons, circa 1810.
18K gold case, engine turned, engraved, the back lid with a central medallion depicting musical instruments, fluted band, gilt dome, case maker’s punch mark DLG. Enamel chapter ring, Arabic Empire numerals, gold repoussé automaton on a blued steel background with a lady playing the lute à trois couleurs sitting with Amor beside a fountain, blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, musical movement, frosted, gilt, two barrels, keywind, two hammers, two gongs, chain/ fusee, cylinder escapement, three-arm ring balance, engraved regulator scale.
