A Swiss quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with musical movement, circa 1830.
Rose gold engine-turned case with reeded band, pusher for repetition via pendant, slide for activating the musical movement, and case maker’s punch mark L&C. Gilt dial with florally engraved ornaments, engine-turned centre, enamel cartouches with Arabic Breguet numerals, and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted and gilt, with two hammers / two gongs, two going barrels, on plate musical movement with a pinned disc, cylinder escapement, and three-arm ring balance.
