A Swiss pocket watch with jumping seconds and an extraordinary chronograph mechanism, circa 1878. The monogrammed case is made of 18K rose gold and features a glazed movement with a large lateral hinge. The dial is adorned with white enamel and displays Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, and blued Breguet hands. Additionally, it is equipped with a stripe-decorated, nickel-plated bridge movement that includes an exceptional early chronograph mechanism with a pivoted drive and star wheel connected to the escape wheel, a club-tooth lever escapement, and a screw compensation balance.
