Silver open cased lever digital watch

A fine Swiss, silver, keyless pocket watch using J. Pallweber’s English Patent from 8 December 1882 for digital jump hours and minutes, circa 1890. An engine-turned back. Hinged silver cuvette. White enamel dial with apertures for hours and minutes, subsidiary dial for the seconds. A gilt brass movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blues steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed, I.W.C. trademark on the movement.
