A rare, exceptionally large Swiss verge pocket watch with enamelled Adam & Eve automaton, circa 1820.
Gilt full plate movement, verge escapement. Decentral dial, a lower part white, the upper half with enamel painting, and a representation of various animals, in the centre the rare seconds’ indication in form of an automaton, a rotating enamel portrait of Adam and Eve with outer seconds scale and the snake as seconds hand, blued Breguet hands. Silver, engine turned case, No.3185.
