A decorative Swiss silvered and gilded brass key winding pocket watch, made by Les Frères Esquivillon, Geneva, circa 1795. Case back engraved with a pattern of stylised flowers and with, in the lower part, a medallion engraved with a hunting scene. White enamel dial with suspended Breguet Arabic numerals, a painted motif in the form of a scalloped medallion with a bouquet on a blue background and gilded metal decorative hands. A gilded brass, full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (probably gilded brass) and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock. Signature on the dial.

Les Frères Esquivillon & DeChoudens, Geneva: Master watchmakers active in Geneva in the last quarter of the 18th century and in the early 19th century. In 1774, Gédéon-François Esquivillon became associated with his brother, Joseph Esquivillon, and Jaques DeChoudens or Deschoudens. They are known to have signed sometimes « Es. et Dech.
