A rare Swiss silver-gilt minute repeating chronograph pocket watch, circa 1900. Made for the Chinese market. The front with a painted enamel portrait of a lady, the reverse with a painted lake scene, the bezels set with pearls, and silver case marks for Sheffield. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals in gold frames, outer gold dots and 1/5 second divisions with Arabic five minutes and gilt spade hands. A ligne, gilt movement, going barrel, monometallic balance, Breguet overcoil balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with hammers. Dial signed Trusty.
