A splendour gold enamel Swiss verge pocket watch, circa 1830.
18 Carat pink gold case, decorated with granulations, richly set with turquoises, emeralds and ground rubies; the back lid with an oval multi-coloured enamel medallion picturing Lake Geneva and the Salève mountain in the background, an earth road in the foreground, and with case maker punch mark TF. Two-tone silvered dial with radial Roman hours, applied two-tone gold flower ornaments, engine-turned centre, and blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, and signed, with chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance, and fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
