Nielloed silver decorated pocket watch

A fine Swiss, nielloed silver, open faced, keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. Commemorating the Tir National de Morges in 1891. A massive case, bezel and band with oak, laurel and berry damascened decoration, the back decorated with an infant holding a crossbow standing in front of the Lake Leman. Hinged silver cuvette with inscription. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute markers, subsidiary seconds. Pink gold Louis XVI hands. A frosted gilt movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed.
