A very fine, thin Swiss gold enamel pocket watch, circa 1830.
18 carat gold case; the pendant with champlevé enamel, the bezel and the back side decorated with gadroons and polychrome champlevé enamel against an opaque black background; floral decoration with butterflies. Silver, engine-turned dial with radial Roman numerals and blued Breguet hands. 4/5 plate movement, keywind, gilt, with raised barrel, cylinder escapement and three-arm brass balance.
