A gentleman’s exquisite, large and heavy quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement and two automatons, circa 1810. 18k gold cas, engine turned, engraved, the back lid with a central medallion depicting musical instruments, uted band, gilt dome, case maker’s punch mark “DLG”. Enamel chapter ring dial, Arabic “Empire numerals”, gold repoussé automaton on a blued steel background with a lady playing the lute “à trois couleurs” sitting with Amor next to a fountain, blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, musical movement, frosted, gilt, 2 barrels, keywind, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, chain/ fusee, cylinder escapement, three-arm ring balance, engraved regulator scale.
