A Swiss gold and enamel verge watch with a simple processional automaton and chatelaine, circa 1810. This watch features a gilded full-plate movement with a verge escapement, fusee and chain, and cylindrical pillars. It has two dials: the first dial is crafted from white enamel, showcasing an eccentric time dial with Arabic numerals and an outer minute ring. It has gold hands and a subsidiary dial above for regulation, signed on each side by Roux Bordier & Cie, with an aperture for winding; the second dial is adorned with light blue champlevé enamel and decorated with engraved gold pheasants. Below, there is a polychrome enamel painted oval depicting two children and a dog set against a blue guilloché enamel backdrop, encircled by pearls. Above this, a sector aperture features a processional automaton of putti against a polychrome enamel-painted landscape.

The case is made of gold, with bezels detailed in light blue and translucent dark blue enamel. It includes a gold stirrup pendant with enamel banding. The chatelaine includes a polychrome enamel painted panel of a girl with a dog, framed by theatre curtains, and rows of seed pearls at the top and bottom. The links feature decorative piercing and engraving, ending in three pendant chains that hold a key, a monogram seal, and a blank fob.

The movement is currently not functioning. The balance appears to be free, and the automata processional will advance when the movement is running. The time dial has a small hairline to the left side and slight chipping around the winding aperture. There is also chipping around the hands and the glass is cracked and loose. The automata dial has a painted oval that appears to be in good condition overall, with a couple of minor chips. However, the light blue enamel surround has been restored to soft enamel, with some repairs to the border, which has some small chips and losses. Both bezels have some chips and losses to the enamel, with some repairs in soft enamel. The chatelaine has some small chips and losses to the enamel decoration. The main painted panel is generally okay, with some small scratches. The chatelaine clip, which attaches to the pendant, has a French owl hallmark.
