An extremely rare Swiss silver open faced Seconde Foudroyante pocket watch with opto-electronic seconds indicator, circa 1890. Engine turned silver case, gold bow, bezels and hinge. Two coloured silvered dial, engine turned center, Arabic Empire numerals, sunken auxiliary seconds, pierced, radial Seconde Foudroyante at 5 and blued Breguet hands. Gilt, forsted bridge movement, System Guillerminet, polished screws, Patent 14978, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screwed compensation balance, blued balance spring, index spring fine adjusting device.
