Gold lever watch with painted on enamel scene

A very fine and unique, thin and elegant Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set open faced keyless dress watch made by Audemars Piguet in Geneva, circa 1982. The case with polished bezels, polished curved band and on the back a painted on enamel scene of three Bedouin horsemen, a dog and a seated Bedouin in a landscape surrounded by diamonds, Bedouin Riders, signed by Ni. Gi. Barna and secured by four screws.

Matte gold dial with applied diamond baguette hour markers, polished gold AP logo at 12 o’clock and gold dauphine hands. Rhodium plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 20 jewels, a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, self compensating flat balance spring, and shock absorbers to the escape and balance wheels. Dial, case and movement signed.
