A unique Swiss white gold, diamond, and sapphire set minute repeating open faced split seconds chronograph watch with a mother-of-pearl dial and case back, circa 2000. This watch features a mechanical, jewelled lever movement, marked with the Piaget signature. It has an octagonal shaped mother-of-pearl dial, also signed Piaget, with Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, a 30 minute counter, a subsidiary dial for constant seconds, split seconds hands, and gold feuille hands. The case is made of 18k white gold, adorned with diamonds and sapphires, and it has a mother-of-pearl hinged back that reveals a sapphire crystal display. Accompanied by a white gold, diamond, sapphire, and crystal presentation stand and presentation box, and a Piaget matching chain.

This magnificent timepiece combines two of the manufacturer’s most remarkable attributes: haute joaillerie techniques and complex watchmaking. The dial features beautifully designed mother-of-pearl panels arranged in a hexagonal pattern, captivating with its perfect balance. The movement side of the watch is equally impressive, adorned with diamonds and sapphires.
A pusher at the 10 o’clock position reveals the sapphire crystal case back, showcasing the intricate movement that has been handcrafted, assembled, and engraved. This watch incorporates two prestigious complications: a minute repeater and a split seconds chronograph. The chronograph splits with remarkable precision, while the minute repeater chimes with exceptional clarity.
Additionally, the watch is complemented by a substantial white gold chain, set with diamonds and sapphires, and a heavy white gold presentation stand that features a sapphire crystal base.

The watch is in working order, featuring a movement with two trains that operate in one direction for the main function and another for the repeating function. The repeater is in phase, producing a pleasing tone with clarity. The splitseconds functionality works properly, operated through the crown and the button on the right side. The pusher on the left side opens the case back, which reveals a pristine mother-of-pearl dial. The overall craftsmanship is exceptional, with all sapphires and diamonds intact. The sapphire on the case back is approximately 6 carats. The case itself exhibits only very light surface wear, maintaining its exceptional quality as when it was first made. The matching chain is notably heavy, showing only minimal wear throughout the links and bow.
