An unusual gold automaton watch, The Coopers, circa 1810. Gilt movement, two-train, three-arm brass balance, the time and automaton movements sandwiched with both sharing a front plate, the six motion automaton consisting of two applied painted figures of a cooper hammering and a carpenter grinding, both flanking a painted fountain with twisting glass rods simulating flowing water, all against a painted ground of a park, activated by a lever to the case band, white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold case, both sides glazed, bezels set with pearls.
