A gold full hunting cased watch, crafted by the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen, Switzerland and sold by the Swedish Royal Watchmaker Linderoth in Stockholm, Sweden, circa 1880. The 18 Carat pink gold full hunter case of the watch has a spring cover engraved with the Swedish royal coat of arms. The case is also engraved with the IWC case hallmark, work number 277977 and case number 320889. This timepiece features a “Blind’s Dial” made of solid gold and adorned with gold blind’s hands, adding to its unique character. The movement of the watch features an IWC precision lever escapement with screwed gold chatons and a fine adjustment.
The Linderoth Royal Watchmaker, at 28 Drottninggatan Stockholm, box that accompanies the watch is a reminder of its royal heritage and adds to its value as a collector’s item.
