Small gold open faced pocket watch
–
A very fine small, thin, 18K gold and painted on enamel lady’s pendant watch with off-center dial, circa 1830. Gilt, Lépine movement, cylinder escapement, three-arm flatrim brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
Case bezel, pendant and bow decorated with black, white and blue enamel and gold leaves, the back cover enamelled with a painted on enamel double coat of arms flanked by two lions rampant and surmounted by a crown. Hinged gold cuvette.
Silver dial, eccentric, engine-turned, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands.
