A large and heavy Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced minute repeating lever pocket watch with full calendar and moon phases, circa 1890. Glazed bridge movement, two hammers, two gongs, a piston tooth lever escapement and gold screw compensation balance. The cuvette is engraved with the technical details. White enamel dial, Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals, an aperture for the moon phases at 12 o’clock, the date at 3, the days of the week at 9, subsidiary seconds with concentric months at 6 and Louis XIV hands. A plain case. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered.
