A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold anker chronometer with chronograph and date made at the watchmaking school in Geneva, circa 1930. Bridge movement, a piston tooth lever escapement and gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial, Arabic hours in American Art Deco style, an outer minute and fifth of a second track with Arabic five minute/second numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, the date at 12, blued cubist hands and the inscription Souvenir from Jean Loeffel to Henri Schlesinger. A plain case. Dial signed, case numbered.
