A Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased lever pocket watch, circa 1889. Retailed by Shreve Crump & Low Co. in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. The movement with a lever escapement, compensation balance with Breguet spring, screws and very nice swan neck regulation. An engraved cuvette. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and black heavy spade & whip hands. The plain case with a coat of arms on the front and Virtus Sola Nobilitat (Strength Alone Ennobles in English) on a banner underneath. Dial signed by the retailer, case numbered.
