An exceptionally fine, small Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced key wind pocket watch made by J.F. Bautte & Co in Geneva, circa 1880. The gilt movement with a cylinder escapement and three arm balance. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and black moon hands. The polished hinged case with enamel decoration on the back showing a bouquet comprised of roses, violas and forget-me-nots, set within a blue enamelled surround. Case numbered and cuvette signed. Comes with an associated gold and enamel watch chain and original winding key.
