An English 18 carat gold pair cased key wind repoussé pocket watch made by Joseph Stephens, London Hallmarked for 1797. The gilt full plate movement with a fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock with a steel three arm balance, and silvered regulation. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer dot minute divisions, outermost Arabic five minute numerals and gilt beetle & poker hands. A polished inner case and the repoussé outer case with a scene on the back depicting Mars offering a gift to Zeus. Movement signed and numbered. Comes with a key.
