A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless wind split second chronograph pocket watch made for S. Smith & Son in London with a London import mark for 1908. The gilt ½ plate Swiss lever movement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance and steel chronograph work. White enamel dial with black Roman hour numerals, outer red spiral and mph scales, an outermost black minute track with fifth of a second divisions and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 12 o’clock, blued steel hands and a gold center chronograph hand. The polished hinged case with a chronograph button at 11. Case numbered and stamped G.S. for George Stockwell, dial signed. Comes with a fitted presentation box.
