A rare French gilt open faced inking stopwatch made by Chaudé in Paris, circa 1910. The gilt half plate fast beat cylinder escapement with a plain three arm balance. White enamel dial with an outer track calibrated for 30 seconds and fifths of a second, a sunk subsidiary for the minute recording and blued hands. The matte gilt drum form case with a stop-and-return-to-zero slide in the band, and a button for the inking mechanism through the pendant. Dial signed. Comes in its fitted presentation box.
