Gold keyless watch with enamel scene

A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless dress watch made by Aero Watch S.A. in Neuchâtel, circa 1960. Retailed by Jacques. Gilt dial with oeil-de-perdrix decoration, ∅ 36 mm, 17 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self compensating flat balance spring, an Incabloc shock absorber and a micrometre regulator. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions and red 24 hour numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’cock and original blued steel spade hands. The polished case with a curved band, a polychrome enamel scene on the back showing Rembrandt’s Venus and Cupid, indistinctly signed. Dial signed Jacques Horloger, case signed Aero Watch S.A., case numbered.
