A very fine and elegant Swiss platinum open faced keyless pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1940-1949. The rhodium plated movement with 18 jewels, oeil-de-perdrix and Geneva striping decoration, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to temperatures and five positions, flat balance spring and an index regulator. Matte silver dial with applied square and rectangular diamond hour indexes, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original white gold hands. The polished case with an inclined bezel. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
