A Swiss gilt silver pair cased verge watch, circa 1695. Early verge movement with self striking hours, main plate decorated, small regulating disc, steep fusee, pierced barrel drum, formerly with additional calendar, very fine and rare quality. Gilt silver champlevé dial and blued steel hands. Protective case pierced and engraved Geneva Lake scene in the centre, eight cartouches with corresponding engraved scenes and heads of angels, the second case pierced, corresponding angel decoration, birds and bell.
