A rare gold and enamel form watch set with diamonds, made circa 1880. The numbered open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold and enamel, has an unusual shape, is black enamelled and set with rose cut diamonds on the back lid and has a an oval frame with a photo on the inside. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals and fine Breguet gold hands and the movement has a fine cylinder escapement and Geneva striping decoration.
